This event is hosted at Butterflute Studios on Sausalito's working waterfront. Limited to 6 children per session, this event will fill up fast. Exploration and living history lessons made fun with daily walking excursions to the historic houseboats, WWII shipyard, wooden boat center and boat docks. The learning experience is enhanced with sea chanteys, films and slide shows. Kids build model houseboats made from recycled and found objects, create a Libertyship mural, and build a model wooden boat complete with launch party! A fun and creative program which integrates history, arts and crafts, vocabulary, math and social studies and serves as a great introduction to the maritime experience.
